2025/26 Discretionary Grant: Expression of Interest (EOI)

The Services SETA invites accredited Skills Development Providers (SDPs) to apply for Discretionary Grant Funding to implement Skills Programmes for the 2025/26 financial year, ending 31 March 2026.

This targeted EOI has been issued following insufficient learner pipeline submissions in the earlier call.

📅 Application Window

  • Opens: Tuesday, 11 February 2026 at 11h00
  • Closes: Monday, 16 February 2026 at 13h00

Late, emailed, or manual applications will not be accepted.

🎯 Objective

To award Discretionary Grant funding to SDPs accredited for the listed Occupational Skills Programmes, who can enroll learners by 31 March 2026 and demonstrate capacity to implement successfully.

💰 Budget Availability

Funding is available for:

  • Unemployed learners
  • Employed learners
    Budget tables are included in the EOI.

 

✔️ Who May Apply

SDPs with valid accreditation for the listed Occupational Skills Programmes.
Preference is given to providers who demonstrate strong learner recruitment capacity and administrative readiness.

 

📝 Online Application Process

All applications must be submitted online only via the Services SETA application portal.
An online briefing session will be held on 10 February 2026 at 11h00.

If no Offer Letter is received by 25 February 2026, the application is considered unsuccessful.

📄 Mandatory Compliance Documents

Submit the following to avoid disqualification:

  • Company registration documents
  • Valid Tax Clearance/Exemption Certificate
  • Valid accreditation for the relevant programme(s)

 

📑 Due Diligence Documents

To demonstrate experience and capability, SDPs may submit up to five of the following:

  • Experience confirmation letters or closure reports (not older than 5 years)
  • Host Employer Interest Letters (or motivated declarations for employed learners)

Submission is not a guarantee of funding.
Services SETA retains the right to decline, part‑fund, or cancel the EOI process.
Funding decisions are final and binding
