Servives SETA Scarce Skills Database banner Servives SETA logo

The Services SETA in an effort to ascertain the skills needs within the service industry and to further reinforce the government stance on our country's economic growth has identified the need to create a database for South Africa's eligible Job Seekers.

As a job seeker you will have the opportunity to log in, register your details online and then wait to be contacted by a prospective employer. Your details will include information such as qualification, experience and more.

As prospective employer you will be able to log in, register and retrieve information about a potential, qualified and experienced employee for your organisation.

Since the development of the original Scarce Skills list in 2003, the Services SETA has since enhanced its capacity to identify and provide more accurately the nature of skills requirements in the services sector.

Focus on people with disabilities

The Services Seta is also concerned that people with disabilities have been marginalised from the workplace because of a general inability to have their scarce skills - obtained either by experience or qualification - recognized and marketed to the corporate sector. As a result of this, we have developed a Disability Scarce Skills portal and we invite all individuals with either a mental or physical impairment to register yourselves on this website and allow us to network you with our 140 000 member companies in the hope that where job opportunities become available you will be considered because of your scarce skill.
