The Services SETA established Regional Offices with the aim to decentralise its activities, as a platform for our member companies to have easy access to participate in skill development initiatives and to enable them to engage with us on a one-on-one basis regarding their respective industries.

Regional Offices are the implementation vehicles, which ensure that the Services SETA reaches its goals and targets as set out in the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS) and other services provided by the Regional Offices are as follows:

  • To encourage stakeholder to take place in skills development initiatives.
  • To assist companies with training their employees.
  • To inform stakeholders of developments in the skills development arena.
  • To promote learnerships, internships and other training interventions.
  • To provide support & information through workshops, roadshows, regional conference etc.
  • To form strategic partnerships with their local Departments of Labour, Education, Trade and Industry and other Provincial Economic Development Agencies.
  • To establish a regional governing structure that is representative of all SIC codes which fall within the services sector
Currently we have 7 Regional Offices in 6 Provinces where the majority of our member companies are found.
