Internship Project
Services SETA recognizes the urgent need for graduates with qualifications, which fall within the scope of the Services Industry, to gain workplace experience Services SETA Levy Paying Companies are entitled to apply for Interns to serve a 6-month term. Services SETA would pay the Internship stipend which is R1500 per month and R3500 per month for interns with disabilities
Trade Test Subsidy
This bursary is for all Services SETA levy paying temporary employment agencies. The Services SETA is making a subsidy available to you in respect of the following:
A subsidy of R1000 will be paid for each Trade Test conducted that is successful: the maximum number of allocations per company is 100.
Bursary Scheme
Services SETA is making two types of Bursaries available i.e. for employed and the unemployed.
This Bursary subsidizes the cost for completed skills programmes where the programme is related to qualifications, which fall within the scope of Services SETA qualifications. Where the skills programme falls within the scope of another SETA the SSETA will part subsidise (see Value Table below)
This bursary is intended to subsidize the cost of a full qualification where the Qualification is within the scope of the SSETA. Where the Qualification falls within the scope of another SETA, the SSETA will part subsidise.(see Value Table below)

i. If a Learner is disabled a disability grant of R 1 500 per month for 6 months is available.
ii. The value of a Bursary for a non-SETQA accredited programme will be 75% of the above values and no Internship Grant will be made available.
Middle & Senior Management Development Program
Aimed at Middle & Senior Managers, these programs are designed and will be delivered to accelerate the development of the following skills priorities identified in the Services SETA Skills Plan:
- Executive Development
- Good Business Practice & Governance
- Management/Supervision
- Professional Competence
- Quality Management
- Transformation through skills development.
NVC- New Venture Creation
Learnership encourages the development of start up businesses, enhancing entrepreneurship and job creation. Services SETA will partner with Government Departments and other relevant agencies by forming MOU’s to establish long-term relationships and support programmes for our New Venture Creation learners. |
