SME and Coops Development Summit
The purpose of the summit were to assess and envisage the needs and requirements of SMMEs and Cooperatives in rural municipal districts in the country. The areas were identified by the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, as rural and economically underdeveloped; these areas included: Umkahnyakude – KwaZulu Natal, Alfred Nzo and OR Tambo – Eastern Cape, Thabo Mofutsanayana – Free State and Vhembe – Limpopo.


The Services SETA has built and maintained relations with various FET colleges in the country and internationally in an effort to emphasize the importance of technical artisan skills and change the mindsets of the South African youth on the benefits of choosing a technical profession versus an academic qualification.

InterSETA Office Launch
The Services SETA as the lead SETA in Northern Cape Province launched the inter-SETA satellite office on 20 March 2013 in Upington. The office is  based at the Northern Cape Rural FET college and is used as a learner resource centre for career guidance counsellingand other learning programmes offered by various SETAs.
The Services SETA is supported by the following SETAs; CHIETA, MQA, LGSETA, CATHSSETA, FASSET and MERSETA.   Click here
Stakeholder Engagement Sessions 
The Services SETA engages with its stakeholders with regards to industry affairs. The engagements provide an opportunity to both Services SETA and stakeholder to formulate, plan and assess the needs of each industry within the Services sector.
