The Services SETA has established relationships with some Further Education and Training (FET) colleges, particularly in the provision of training of hairdressers. The Services SETA has established a project to drive the development of partnerships. So far, the project has resulted in partnership agreements with five (5) public FETs on a skills expo and some joint work on career guidance. These include partnership projects with Ingwe FET College in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape, Vhembe and Letaba FETs in Limpopo, where bursaries are awarded to enrol 326 learners on Services SETA qualification in each public FET College. These pilots will be reviewed during 2012 to explore whether they provide a model for use across all FET colleges. In the Western Cape Services SETA has initiated a relationship with South Cape FET College and West Coast FET College to provide small business training and the establishment of cooperatives.
