Approach these members to change their SIC codes. SETA change as well as change of SIC Code documents will be sent to the members, to give them the opportunity to “move” their company SIC Code allocation to the Services SETA. Ongoing
Conduct a survey amongst the members of SANAS, SAQI and SETA, to determine, which of them represent the interest of 10 or more entities. Ongoing
Approach these companies to become schedule 1 members. Members will have to adhere to the requirements of a Schedule 1 entity, for them to take up a seat on the chamber board ( note Annexure 1). Ongoing until 27 July 2007
 

 

 

 



 

The Chamber will once the Schedule 1 organization become established, schedule a meeting for the establishment of a chamber board.

Annexure 1

Schedule 1 entities

Schedule 1 entities compromise of :
  1. Organized Business / Industry Associations / Employer representatives
  2. Organized Labour / Employee representatives
Companies need to forward to the SETA:
  1. Their constitution or founding document/s
  2. Their database, so that the SETA can verify their constituency.
Once members have been placed on the Schedule 1 list, they are eligible to “take up” a seat on the chamber board, representing either Labour or Employer.
