How do I apply for a Trade Test?

Answer
In order to obtain a trade test you need to apply with Services Seta on (011) 276 9600. The Services is responsible for assessing the Trade Test.

2. Question
Does my Salon need to be registered with the Services Seta?

Answer
All Salons need to be registered with the Hairdressing Bargaining Council as well as the South African Revenue Services (SARS). If your company turnover is less than half a Million Rand per annum, then you are automatically exempt from paying levies to SARS however your Salon need to b registered with one of the Hairdressing Associations who are represented on the Services Seta Structures.

Answer
Amongst all other services that the Services Seta offers:

  • Disbursement of Skills Development Levies
  • Implementation of learnerships
  • Internship Programmes in the Services Sector
  • Bursary Allocation
  • Training available to it's member companies
