UASA Workshop

In 2009,the Chamber together with UASA, the Union had embarked on the Employee Assistance Programme in order to assist individuals going through retrenchment.  The purpose of the workshop was to provide affected employees with coping mechanisms and guidance on the options they have available to help them get back into the labour market. The workshops were scheduled in the following regions: Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Bloemfontein and East London

Although the workshops were successful in the smaller Regions, we were forced to cancel workshops in Regions such as Gauteng, KZN and Western Cape, due to poor response from companies.
