The Quality Assurer: Funeral Specialisation is responsible the accreditation of skills development providers, the registration of assessors and moderators, the monitoring of training, the external moderation of learner achievements and the certification of learners in the funeral services and related subsectors. The Quality Assurer: Funeral Specialisation must also attend to Skills Development Provider queries

Requirements

„h A 3 YEAR DIPLOMA, OR EQUIVALENT IN A RELEVANT FIELD „h ASSESSOR AND MODERATOR COMPETENCY REGISTERED WITH THE ETDP SETA „h REGISTERED WITH THE SERVICE SETA AS A CONSTITUENT ASSESSOR AND MODERATOR, 3 YEARS IN TOTAL, 1 YEAR IN MANAGEMENT AND 2 YEARS IN THE FUNERAL INDUSTRY, Good understanding of SETA business  Understanding of the PFMA  Sound knowledge of skills development legislation and policy framework  Assessment  Moderation  Computer literacy

Duties

Processing of accreditation applications  Processing and evaluation of assessor and moderator registration applications  Monitoring of training  External moderation of learner achievement  Certification of learners  Handling of stakeholder queries  Ensure compliance with QCTO requirements  Conduct monitoring and auditing of accredited providers  Develop and enhance stakeholder relations  Advise stakeholders on quality assurance policies and practices
